Bleiler is no lightweight on the slopes. In her
Olympics debut, she grabbed the silver medal at the
women's halfpipe event in Torino. Bleiler burst
onto the snowboard circuit at the Winter X Games in
Aspen, where she landed her signature move -- the
crippler 540, an inverted 540-degree spin -- and
was crowned snowboard queen in front of a hometown
crowd. Returning from an ACL injury that wiped out
her entire 2004 season, she got the world's
attention by winning gold and silver at last year's
World Cup event in Italy.
But the 5-foot-6 blonde was in the February 2004
issue of FHM and on ESPN's X Games Web site.
Although she has made snowboarding all the more
sexy, her toughness also has earned her a place in
our hearts.
