Choosing a College with Lower Admission
Standards
Good News: A recent study by Alan Krueger, an
economics professor at Princeton, and Stanley Dale,
a researcher at Mathematic Policy Research found
that students who chose a school with lower
admissions standards over a more competitive school
earned as much as those who attended elite
colleges. According to Krueger, "The best school
that turned you down is a better predictor of
future income than the school you actually attend."
