A Note to Authors & Publishers

Menstuff® index several thousand men's books that are involved with a positive change in male roles and relationships. We place them in one of 100 different men's issues. If you have a book, or audio or video tape that is still in print, you might want to take advantage of this free service by sending the most recent edition of the finished book to us for review. Send a copy of the book, CD, DVD or audio tape to Gordon Clay, PO Box 1080, Brookings, OR 97415.

Here's what could happen. If appropriate, we will put a listing on our site. This will include (a) Placing a scan of the cover under our "Lenny" icon next to the listing for access by those interested in seeing more. (b) Establishing hyperlinks from the review to your website and/or email. (c) Place your book in its particular Issues category. (d) Hook up a direct link from your book to its listing on amazon.com for the readers immediate purchase. (e)  Placing appropriate books in the Browsers' Bookmobile. (f)  List book signings and pertinent workshops in our Calendar of Events. (g) Give us some topics you might like to talk about on radio or television and we'll include them in our press section. (h) If requested, add your name to our list of Advisor's on your area of expertise. (i)  If recently published, the book may be selected as Book of the Week and appear on the "Today" page for visitors and subscribers to check-out, (j) If the author would be interested in putting together 250 to 500 words on your subject(s) of expertise, we may include it in our issues section. (Check out our of list of 300 men's issues and see what ones relate to your work.) (k) And finally, if the author might be interested in writing a weekly or monthly column, we would consider adding them to our home page. (See our requirements.)

Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch. Well, it will cost you the time and money to send us a copy of the book, but that's it. - Gordon Clay

Potential Columnists

Our desire is to have columnists who are interested in providing our visitors with new information. We have five main categories: Fathers, Men's Health, General Men's Issues, Relationships and Sexuality.

1. The subject must be appropriate for the web site and not a sales pitch for a book, workshops or commercial enterprise. It can be an excerpted book.

2. Length is up to you. Knowing this, web surfers are generally interested in shorter rather than longer.

3. We would need a vitae on you, copies of any books you've written, details on pertinent workshops you do, etc.

4. A bust shot of yourself that can be picked up off of a web site or e-mailed to us in the body of an e-mail. (We have incoming attachments blocked.)

5. Three articles that you have written that you would propose for the column, sent to us in the body of an e-mail. This will give us an idea of what you are proposing.

6. If accepted, we would start with the columns you have submitted and then expect a new column (a) If monthly, a new column by the 25th of each month. or (b) if weekly, a new column by Thursday of each week. Again, submitted via e-mail and kept in the body of the e-mail.

If interested, let us know. Start here.
